Our Issue Today: Ending and Beginning

Hello, Dear Feast Family!

THAT’s right. This issue is about ending and beginning.

In our Flashback section, Fr. Bob McConaghy caps his series on the Holy Mass with a historical backgrounder about the host we receive during Holy Communion. Read on, page 4.

Still in Flashback, we also end our series on Miracles and More with Talk 9, Make Me Whole.
Check out, page 7.

Actually, we have a third “ending.” As you will note, we are “ending” the task of Bro. Bo in introducing Our Issue Today.

I, yours truly, the undersigned, now has the privilege of introducing our issue— which early on was actually done by Bro. Hermie Morelos, our former leader at the Shepherd’s Voice Radio and Television (SVRTV) which produces our The Feast Family online newsmagazine

As for a Beginning, we refer, of course, to the Feast Conference 2020 which, as I write this letter, is about to start. Don’t miss it!

As I write to you today, we had just gone through super typhoon Ulysses. Amid the roaring storm, by God’s grace, we have been able to continue launching Feast Conference 2020!

As I announced on my Facebook page, Cardinal Antonio Luis Tagle is celebrating our Friday Holy Mass. Our Feast Worship team is launching a new album, while Hillsong United is joining us for one Worship session too!

Despite the darkness and gloom, our Feasts have bravely faced the challenge of the disaster emboldened by the promise in 2 Corinthians 4:8 NLT: We are pressed on every side by troubles, but we are not crushed. We are perplexed, but not driven to despair.

Bro. Bo shares on his Facebook page how our Feasts have helped those heavily hit by the storm. And we took the liberty of grabbing his posts to share with you, page 17.

Feast Makati District where I am District Builder, also, in our humble way, faced the challenge of the disaster.

Our Feast Makati Outreach Ministry has organized efforts to help our fellow Filipinos affected by Typhoon Ulysses. We are accepting cash, clothes, blankets, alcohol, soap, hygiene kits, and ready-to-eat meals and tons and tons of prayers for everyone.

Yes, sisters and brothers, let us keep the faith, let us hold on to another promise in Isaiah 43:2: “When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you…”

All for God’s Glory
