“ … give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together, running over, will be put into your lap; for the measure you give will be the measure you get back.”
– Luke 6:38

Grace To Be Born
Maria, a 13-year old incest victim, gazed wide-eyed as she and her housemates listened to a talk about the new life in her womb. Maria, together with other young pregnant and unwed women caught in dysfunctional relationships and contemplating abortion, have found shelter in Grace to Be Born.
Grace to Be Born Maternity Home and Nursery, a halfway house, was established in 2009 through the generous partnership of Basti and Betty Roxas-Chua who lent their building rent-free. The place serves as a temporary shelter for unwed mothers (seeking shelter and second chance at life) and an orphanage (a haven for the children born there).
Anawim Lay Missions is a home for the abandoned elderly. The place provides physical care, home life, medical care, spiritual nourishment, recreational activities and socialization, social service, end-of-life care, and burial services to its indigent residents. This facility is duly recognized by the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) and is sustained by generous donors and volunteers, who help turn the silver years of these abandoned lolos and lolas into gold.
Joe Dean Sola and his wife Ardis, both full time lay missionaries who came from Light of Jesus, started He Cares Foundation Street Children Caring Center in 1997. The center takes care of street children, offering five programs that cater to the children’s spirituality, health, family, life, education, and livelihood.
Pag-asa ng Pamilya Scholarship Foundation gives scholarships to various poor and persevering students. Aside from providing financial assistance, the foundation organizes motivational seminars for the scholars to encourage them to pursue their dreams.
The Light of Jesus Pastoral Care Center ministers to those who are emotionally and spiritually wounded through pastoral care, prayers and other healing interventions. The center gives telephone, face-to-face or online sessions to those who are in need of someone to share, unburden, pray with or talk with.

Reylindo E. Ortega, a blessed Teresa of Calcutta Awardee in 2012; established Jeremiah 33:6-7 Foundation to complete his dream of a string of foundations that Grace to Be Born, Inc., Tahanan ng Pagmamahal Children’s Home and Pag-asa ng Pamilya Scholarship Foundation. This home and shelter for sexually abused girls opened on November 27, 2012 when it took in two girls as its first clients in Dansalan, Mandaluyong. With two more girls joining in March 2013, they needed a bigger place.
COULD ANYTHING GOOD come out of tragedy, one might ask. It could. And it did. Jesus Christ Cares For Cancer was born out of Reylindo “Rey” Ortega’s heart-wrenching meeting with Brian, a 7-year-old boy who succumbed to cancer in July 2013. The young boy’s passing disturbed him and made him more conscious of the plight of the poor afflicted with the illness.
In May 2015, Bro. Rey himself was diagnosed with Stage 4 prostate cancer. With only 6 months to live, he resolved to spend his remaining days serving indigent cancer patients.
JCCFC was officially registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission on September 28, 2015.
Bro. Rey devoted more than 48 years of his life helping the poor before his passing in June 2017. He founded several mercy ministries, including Tahanan ng Pagmamahal, Grace To Be Born, Pag-Asa ng Pamilya Scholarship Foundation, Healthcare Assistance for Indigents and Lepers of Mary (H.A.I.L. Mary), and Jeremiah 33:6-7 Foundation. The AY Foundation founded by Alfonso Yuchengco and the Manila Jaycees recognized his humanitarian work by bestowing upon him the Blessed Teresa of Calcutta Award in 2012..
